Watching CNN this morning, I saw a brief mention of this in the ticker at the bottom of the screen. After an e-mail to CNN and much "googling", I found the following article:

Since I live in the Atlanta area, I will be following this closely and hoping that Skeet's next transplant can take place right here.

12/23 Update - 6 Weeks after Stem Cell Treatment
Here it is the year 2010 already - life passes us by far too quickly.
I haven't been good keeping up with Skeet's blog and I do apologize to all of you that have checked in to see his progress and found nothing new. I'll try to be a bit better (and more regular) in the future.
Here is the update that I got from our sister on 12/23 -
"Nothing to report.
Really.
Skeeter reports that he is worse. He is dizzy. His balance is worse. His sleep habits are not any better. He is not going to the bathroom as much because he hasn't been taking in many liquids (Skeeter says that is not something he expects to get better)
Has been faithful with the therapy appointments. Both Occupational and Physical say Skeeter has good strength and they both have commented on his coordination and his balance as being better. The therapist visits end after next week.
His blood pressure is significantly lower. I am sure his neurology doctor will be disappointed with the drop in his blood pressure. We see him next week on the 30th.
Have checked into visits by a home health care person and it is not affordable. Don't know what to do when *** goes back to work, probably in January.
That's all for now."
I always have to add my own thoughts: Personally, I feel that some of Skeet's low blood pressure and dizziness is caused by dehydration and have encouraged him to drink much more water, even if he is not thirsty. I really think that keeping his body hydrated at this point is critical to helping those stem cells do their job.
I will post the results of Skeet's most recent neurologist's visit in the next post - really not much to report - just my attempt to keep you all updated.
